The singer and reality star, pictured attending the International Indian Film Academy awards with Indian actress Sophie Chaudhary in Macau over the weekend, is said to have been given the role after his performance received a standing ovation at the prestigious event.
He will play a fictional musician and perform two songs - with his part to be shot in London.
Meanwhile,back in the UK Katie Price is said to have put her marriage split well and truly behind her. Pictured smiling at a fourth birthday party for her son Junior at her countryside mansion,the model is believed to have told one of the guests, "I'm so over Pete."
The pair are also due to go head to head on-screen having signed up for rival reality shows.They are said to have both inked deals with ITV for separate series which will follow them throthroughout their divorce and document their lives as newly single celebrities. It is thought that the shows may even compete in the same time slot on different ITV channels.
